These bespoke pieces are authentic Jersey pottery. The artist uses varying techniques to create the finished product. She will use "found "items from the beaches of Jersey to individually indent each fish. Then the pottery is bisque fired at 1000 degrees for 9 hours. After this the colourful glazes are added and the pottery is again fired for up to 2 hours.
The diagonal shoals are then created by attaching the fish on to reclaimed wood. An official mark of the artist to denote it is Authentic Jersey Pottery is then added to the top left hand corner.
These pieces are ready to hang.
Please note that the finish will vary due the bespoke nature of these items and the photography is only a guide.
