Collection: Original Vintage Posters c1910-1920

Our posters come from the lithographic printers Stafford and Co. Netherfield, Nottingham and London and Taylors Printers, Wombwell, Yorkshire, they were printed between 1910–1920. Thereby making all these original posters 100+ years old and in fabulous condition for their age. The Stafford and Co posters were found in the original factory when it closed down.

The posters were used to advertise local theatre or opera productions, mainly Gilbert and Sullivan and the railways.  

As you can see many of the male characters were played by females, due to the impact of World War I.
