Look first at the paws. The lower hare reaches upwards just as its rival leaps, leaving a sliver of air between their bodies. Dean Kendrick has caught the split second of a springtime boxing match, right down to the tilt of an ear and the stretch of a hind leg.

Each sculpture is hand-cast in bronze using the lost-wax method. Traditional acid and heat treatments give the bronze its rich brown patina, and a protective wax finish brings out the detail of the hares’ faces and fur. At 20.5 cm tall, the pair would sit beautifully on a mantel or sideboard where you can enjoy those details up close.

Each casting bears Dean Kendrick’s signature and its individual edition number. It comes in a deluxe presentation box with a signed certificate of authenticity
