The intricate process begins by blending the finest raw materials and heating them to 2400°F (1315°C) until they transform into glass. The temperature is then carefully reduced so the molten glass becomes workable, allowing craftsmen to gather, blow, and shape it using techniques and tools that are centuries old, before pieces are slowly cooled in an annealer over hours or days. Slight variations in colour, size, or tiny bubbles are the hallmark of the maker's hand - a proof of authenticity.
