"Soulful eyes and a flash of orange"
There's something irresistible about a puffin - those soulful eyes, that flash of orange, the quiet dignity of a bird built for wild seas. Lovingly handcrafted by Nobile Glassware, this little character brings all of that charm home.
Perched on a sunlit windowsill or shelf, he glows as the light passes through layers of kiln-fused coloured glass - each piece carefully cut, layered and fired into one smooth sculptural form. A keepsake for coastal souls, cliff-top wanderers and lovers of British wildlife. Small enough to hold, big enough to spark a memory of salt air and sea breeze.
Established in 1993, Nobile Glassware is a UK-based supplier of handmade glass and giftware, renowned for its in-house designed and exclusively manufactured collections - making each piece highly collectable and sought-after.
The intricate process begins by blending the finest raw materials and heating them to 2400°F (1315°C) until they transform into glass. The temperature is then carefully reduced so the molten glass becomes workable, allowing craftsmen to gather, blow, and shape it using techniques and tools that are centuries old, before pieces are slowly cooled in an annealer over hours or days. Slight variations in colour, size, or tiny bubbles are the hallmark of the maker's hand - a proof of authenticity.
