Set against a brilliant green fir tree and flanked by vivid red poppies, the scene is mounted on naturally weathered driftwood gathered from the Norfolk coast, making each piece truly one of a kind. Created using the traditional kiln-fused glass technique, layers of coloured glass are carefully cut, arranged and fired at high temperatures to achieve those rich, jewel-like tones. Nadia Lammas is a Midlands-based glass artist creating fused glass pictures, sculptures, and leaded stained glass from her studio at Halfpenny Green Vineyards in South Staffordshire. Each fused piece is handcrafted by bonding layers of clear and coloured glass in a kiln heated to between 780°C and 820°C, often fired two or three times to build up colour and detail. Her playful designs feature recurring motifs including bees, hearts, beach huts, and VW campervans, with every piece signed by the artist.
