Collection: Terry Brownbill
Vibrant Contemporary art.
Terry Brownbill is a North Norfolk-based artist and a member of the Institute of East Anglian Artists (IEA). He works in oils and acrylics and digital ‘painting’.
His paintings are whimsical, and on occasion political. These pared down images of Sheringham are the result of his trying to see the world with a child’s eye, something that is surprisingly difficult in an age dominated by social media.
Brownbill went to art college in the early 1970s and has a BA(Hons) in photography and film. After a 35-year career as an international and Fleet Street journalist, he switched career, completed a one-year oil painting diploma in 2018 at the prestigious Norfolk Painting School. Now he paints eight hours a day, seven days a week.
