Whether you are looking to buy a vintage poster for interior decoration, a special gift, or as part of a collection, we have a wonderful selection to choose from.
Our posters come from the lithographic printers Stafford and Co. Netherfield, Nottingham and London and were printed between 1910–1920. Thereby making all these original posters 100+ years old and in fabulous condition for their age.
The posters were found in the original factory, which had been previously bought by another printer who was using the old stock to print on the reverse. That printer closed down, leaving a stack of these posters behind.
The posters were used to advertise local theatre or opera productions, mainly Gilbert and Sullivan and the railways.
As you can see many of the male characters were played by females, due to the impact of World War I.
