The Pirates of Penzance 1910-1920 Original Vintage Poster
1910-1920s original vintage poster for THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE for one of Gilbert and Sullivan's most beloved operas.
The poster depicts the scene in Act I in which the unseen Frederic (the mistakenly apprenticed pirate) approaching Kate, Edith, Isabel, and the other beautiful girls as they disrobe to go wading in a lovely and secluded (they thought) seaside spot.
The poster was printed during the 1920's by Stafford & Co., the leading show printer in Great Britain. The image has rich, beautiful colours.
The dimensions are 20” x 30”
