The Gondoliers or The King of Barataria | 1910-1920 Original Vintage Poster
THE GONDOLIERS, or the King of Barataria, was produced at the Savoy Theatre on Saturday, 7 December, 1889.
It is famous among the operas; for possessing perhaps the most sparkling and tuneful music and for being the last opera to be produced before the unnecessary quarrel between the triumvirate — Gilbert, Sullivan and D'Oyly Carte.
This is an early traveling play or theatre poster from the late 1800's. It is printed with a fine lithographic technique by Stafford & Co. Ltd., Netherfield, Nottingham and London, England.
